CARM will completely transform the way the CBSA interacts with importers, customs brokers and others in the trade chain. Release 2.0 of CARM goes into effect on October 21, 2024. In this webinar, W2C will outline the CARM project, the main obligations that each importer must satisfy, how an importer must register on the CARM Portal and the usual pitfalls to this registration, granting portal access to employees, the importance of the delegation of authority to the customs broker, the new prerequisite of a financial security that each importer must eventually provide to continue importing into Canada, and how to properly use the CARM Portal once the business is registered.
